Saundra Robinette, DVMVeterinarian, Owner
Science-minded from the adolescence, Dr. Robinette realized early on in her life that veterinary medicine was her niche. What she loves about her work is the opportunity to develop relationships with the patients and their owners. She appreciates the challenge offered by each new patient and hopes to improve quality of life for those patients when possible.
Dr. Robinette has been practicing veterinary medicine since 2004. She spent five years working as a general practice veterinarian. She took some time away from general practice to enroll in a one year rotating internship, with Michigan Veterinary Specialists, which further developed her veterinary skills. For two years following, she remained on staff as an emergency doctor and helped to train the new interns. After being with Michigan Veterinary Specialists for three years, she joined Fox Valley Animal Referral Center as an Emergency/Critical Care Doctor. She worked for them for about two and one-half years. During this time, her family lived bi-state with home in Escanaba and an apartment in Appleton. When the opportunity to come back to Escanaba Veterinary Clinic presented itself, Dr. Robinette never hesitated to bring her career back home.
The time away from Escanaba Veterinary Clinic has allowed Dr. Robinette to perform a quality of medicine in which most general practices simply don’t offer. She is excited to bring and use the new skill base she has developed here in this community.
Veterinary medicine is only part of Dr. Robinette’s life. She is married to a wonderful husband, Brian Robinette. Their beautiful son, Pierce, keeps them busy and they are expecting a daughter in April. Dr. Robinette’s first children are her two French bulldogs, Mackenzie and Lyssa. They are accompanied by two cats, Dexter and Josie. In the limited spare time she finds, she enjoys to read, hike, kayak, camp and of course travel.
